Wisbech attack victim ‘left with serious injuries’

A man in his 40s was seriously injured after being attacked in Wisbech. Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the man was assaulted and left with serious injuries. 

Police were called to Church Terrace, in Wisbech, at about 11pm on Friday (15 December) and found the man with serious injuries receiving treatment from the ambulance service.

The victim, from Wisbech, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who was in the Church Terrace area at the time of the assault.

Anyone with information should report it through the force website using reference CC-15122023-0554.

Anyone without internet access should call 101.

Church Terrace, Wisbech, was cordoned off by Cambridgeshire police following the attack.

Cars remained inside the cordon whilst police investigated: the cordon was removed mid-morning.

A passer-by told CambsNews: “There is lots of blood on the pavement.”

CambsNews has been told that the victim was left battered and bruised after being kicked.
