A Fenland farmer is offering ‘farm to car boot’ sacks of potatoes at low prices in what he terms a weekend challenge.

George Munns said: “Go to your local supermarket and buy six pounds worth of grub.

“Then get the same value in fresh potatoes direct from our farm. Then have a look at the results, you will see for yourself the amazing value of our 25kg bags of potatoes.”

He said: “They don’t have a best before, or use by date, so keep’ em cool and dark and frost free and you will have little waste, and they will last for weeks.

“We have Sagitta potatoes for sale at Westmoor Farm Chatteris. PE16 6SD.”

George said he also a mis shaped potatoes for £3.00/25kg and standard normal shaped ones for £6.00/bag.

“The miss shapes have limited availability -we don’t grow them on purpose”

“The standard ones will be available hopefully for a few weeks yet.

“Even our £6 per bag spuds are amazing value and a really good way of economising on food without going hungry or limiting the intake of essential vitamins.”

To ensure you grab a bag, find his Facebook page “and send us a message to arrange for collection. “Remember, you’ll never regret a wise investment”.
