A motorcyclist has died after a devastating four-vehicle crash on the A47 in Peterborough.
The man, in his 50s and from Bourne, Lincolnshire, was riding an orange KTM Superduke R when it was involved in a smash with three cars — a grey Peugeot 3008, a black Audi A6 and a grey Fiat 500.
The collision happened just after 2pm yesterday (25 August) on the eastbound Soke Parkway at the Bretton Gate exit.
Emergency crews raced to the scene and the rider was rushed to Peterborough City Hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, he tragically died from his injuries.
Miraculously, the drivers and passengers of the three cars walked away unharmed.
Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses and are urging anyone with dashcam footage from the A47 around 2pm to come forward.
A spokesperson said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles involved in the moments beforehand.”
