Gregory Coulson, 30, of Lingwood Park, Peterborough, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today Monday).
It follows the death of a woman in Peterborough yesterday (9 February).
Police were called with reports of violence at a property in Lingwood Park, Longthorpe, at about 2.45am.
A 67-year-old woman from Peterborough was discovered at the property and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“We believe this is an isolated incident,” said a Cambridgeshire police spokesperson.
“We are not able to name the victim at this stage as formal identification has not yet taken place.”
A date has not been confirmed for a post mortem to take place.
Police say further updates concerning this, and the naming of the victim, will be released in due course.
