Huge queues expected to welcome opening of Wendy’s in Wisbech

Its museum may be the home of the ‘Great Expectations’ manuscript but the town’s insatiable appetite for burgers is probably greater – so expect huge queues tomorrow when Wendy’s opens in Horsefair on Thursday (April 27).

“Wendy’s Wisbech will be giving away exclusive ‘We Love Wisbech’ t-shirts to their first 50 customers, so make sure you get there in time,” says a spokesperson for the Horsefair Shopping Centre.

More likely though the first customers will be more anxious to get their hands on the Wendy’s-style breakfast menu which includes such culinary delights as the breakfast ‘Baconator’, croissant sandwiches and the classic egg & cheese Sandwich – with optional bacon or sausage.

Since re-entering the UK market in June 2021, Wendy’s operates from more than 25 locations across the country.

In January Wendy’s opened their first UK drive-thru at Brampton Hut.
