Cambridge woman arrested after man stabbed in Thetford brawl

A woman in her 30s has been arrested in Cambridge in connection with a stabbing of a man in Thetford on March 10. She was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The woman was arrested on Monday evening and was taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning.

She has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

It comes after emergency services were called to Bury Road on Sunday at around 11.45am to reports a man had suffered multiple stab wounds. It followed a street brawl.

The victim, a man in his 30s, remains in a critical condition in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.

Detectives continue to search for two outstanding males and ask anyone with information to get in touch.

Investigations continue after the victim sustained life threatening injuries in Thetford.

Police were called to Bury Road on Sunday 10 March 2024 at 11.48am to reports a man in his 30s had been stabbed.

Initial enquiries led officers to Amulet Close where three people, two women and a man, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. They have released on bail. They were a man and a woman in their 40s and a woman in her 20s.

Officers continue to search for two other men they believe were involved in the incident.

It is understood those involved were known to each other.

The victim was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where his condition remains critical.

Police believe two more people were involved in the incident and enquiries continue to locate them.

Officers understand those involved were known to each other.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact to Norfolk Police.

Officers are particularly keen to reach people with relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that could help the investigation.
