A shoplifter was sent back to prison – just a week after being released.
Marcus Sapra was released from prison on 8 November after serving 12 weeks for shoplifting offences in Cambridge.
Upon his release he attempted to steal chicken wings from Co-op in Milton Road on Thursday and stole alcohol from Tesco in Cherry Hinton on Saturday.
PC Jess Freeman from the Cambridge Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Sapra is a prolific shoplifter causing misery to businesses across the city.”
Sapra, 35, of St Bedes Crescent, Cambridge, was arrested on Saturday (12 November) and found in possession of a knife.

2: Four counts of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order
3: Common assault
4: Criminal damage
5: Using threatening behaviour to cause alarm or distress
6: Attempted theft and theft.
He was jailed for 33 weeks.
