The beginning of one of the tributes left outside the Sutton home of Gary Dunmore, 57, one of the victims of Wednesday’s double Cambridgeshire murders.
The tribute continued: “So helpful and kind and was always around as a friend and my ‘little odd job man’. I’m going to miss you”
Gary’s son, Josh, 32, was the second victim. He was killed at his home a few miles away in Bluntisham.
A tribute outside his home said: “To Josh. I cannot believe I am writing this. This week was meant to be a celebration for you and your precious boy.
“I pray that you can rest in peace knowing you fought every day for Ryan. Everything you done was for him and he will forever know this.”
“I will remember to pick up my smile like you always told me when I had a resting b**** face in the gym. Keep on grooving up there rude boi. Love Harli.”
Another tribute outside Josh’s home read: “We have no words for such tragedy in our quiet village. Our prayers are with all involved. Rest in eternal peace.”
“Formal identification of the victims has not been completed so we are not in a position to release further information on them,” said a police spokesperson.
“Post-mortem examinations are due to be carried out by Dr Ben Swift at Peterborough City Hospital on Monday (3 April).
“As and when there are any further updates they will be proactively released. “

Picture by Terry Harris.Cambridgeshire Police revealed yesterday that the father and son were victims of a targeted attack and explained that a custody fight remained an “active line of inquiry”.
The story began to unfold on Wednesday when police were called to a property in Meridian Close, Bluntisham, at just after 9pm with reports of gunshots.
Officers arrived to find the body of Josh Dunmore inside his home with a gunshot wound.
Then at 9.37pm, police received a call from a person in Sutton, near Ely, again reporting hearing gunshots.
The body of Gary Dunmore was found at his home in The Row, also with gunshot wounds.
“A car that was believed to have been used by the offender, a white Peugeot 208, and a shotgun have been recovered,” said the police spokesperson.
The properties in Meridian Close and The Row have been cordoned off and police officers remain at the scenes.
Detective chief superintendent Jon Hutchinson, of Cambridgeshire Police, confirmed said his officers had quickly established the connection between the shootings at Bluntisham and at Sutton, a few miles away.
Police say their primary line of investigation is that of a “familial issue” and could involve a custody battle.
Det Chief Supt Hutchinson said that may change “as information develops in the hours ahead”.
