Christopher Marshall-MacIntosh, 32, of no fixed address has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a 15-year-old was seriously injured at Cambourne. Marshall-MacIntosh has also been charged with failing to stop after a collision and committing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice.

He is appearing at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court today (7 March).

He was arrested after the 15-year-old, on a non-electric scooter, was seriously injured in a fail to stop crash in Cambourne.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after the fail-to-stop crash in Back Lane, Cambourne, close to the junction with Sterling Way, at about 9pm on March 5.

A silver Audi A4 was involved in the crash with a non-electric scooter ridden by a 15-year-old boy from the Cambourne area.

The boy suffered serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.

Sergeant Mark Atkins, from the road policing unit, said: “The teenage boy has been left with serious injuries and I am appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“If anyone has any dashcam or video doorbell footage of the collision then that would be very helpful for our investigation.

“Also, if anyone saw or has dashcam footage of the Audi in the Cambourne or Highfields Caldecote areas at about 9pm yesterday evening, I would also like to hear from them.”

Anyone with information or dashcam footage should report it through the force website using reference 35/15791/24.
