Celebrations last year to mark the 50th anniversary of the Key Theatre, Peterborough, have spilled over into 2024 with the commissioning by Landmark Theatres of a new mural by street artist Nathan Murdoch.

Nearing completion the mural is already attracting praise from passers-by, many taking to social media to express support.

The theatre opened in November 1973 and last year’s celebrations included a special video tribute from panto cast and crew.

A theatre spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who has ever attended a show or visited the Key Theatre throughout the years!
