The MP had a British BULLDOG stencilled on his arm during a visit to a tattoo parlour in St Neots as part of the local campaign for Cambridgeshire County Council and the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. But he didn’t quite go as far as getting the bulldog permanently inked and admitted he would be washing it off later. Farage also visited a key cutting shop - where he was presented with a giant gold key to number 10 Downing Street – and a local butcher’s shop. See copy catchline Reform leader Farage gets bulldog

Nigel Farage and Reform UK’s candidate for Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Ryan Coogan were in Cambridgeshire today [1 April] to campaign for Reform candidates on May 1st.

During his visit, the Reform UK leader highlighted that Cambridgeshire County Council:

  • Spent over £18 million on a new HQ for 700 staff which stayed empty for months while forking out a £100,000 annual bill to maintain the old one.

  • Spent over £130,000 every year on translation services since 2021.

  • Paid out £54,000 after admitting discrimination against a social worker who expressed her belief that sex was a matter of biology during an LGBT meeting.

Reform UK are campaigning in Cambridgeshire and across the rest of the country to cut council waste in order to reinvest in local services and bring down taxes.

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said:

“Cambridgeshire County Council has failed local residents. They’ve racked up eye-watering debt and squandered local people’s hard-earned cash on pointless salaries and vanity schemes.

“Only electing Ryan and Reform councillors on May 1st will put an end to this waste and get Kent back on track.

“Cambridgeshire is broken. Reform will fix it.”
