The moment went viral on social media, sparking laughter, selfies and a genuine sense of wonder from residents of all ages. The Dalek was on patrol for a special preview to promote the much-anticipated exhibition, Adventures in Time & Space – An Unofficial Doctor Who Exhibition, which opens at Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery next Saturday, 3rd May.

The Dalek sighting is just a hint of what’s to come in this once-in-a-generation exhibition, perfect for families, fans, and the sci-fi curious. This exhibition will showcase the largest collection of restored and surviving Doctor Who props in over a decade, including every type of Dalek and Cyberman from the show’s 60-year history, a giant never-before-seen space station prop, retro ray guns and spacecraft, and the largest Dalek ever built for the screen.

“Seeing people of all ages light up shows how Doctor Who brings everyone together,” said Rebecca Jackson, Vice-chair of the Friends of Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery. “This exhibition is something truly special for the city. We’ve had incredible feedback already, and we can’t wait to see the doors open next week.”
